Bob Nash, Renowned Water Colorist (1921-1992)
Gallery
Bob Nash was a professional artist known for his watercolors, but he painted in oils and acrylics too. He was a teacher and judge of shows and a winner of many ribbons. He was a member and past official of the Society of Western Artists and West Coast Watercolor Society member.
Born in San Francisco, Bob worked as an editorial cartoonist—his whimsical nature can still be seen in many of his works. His subject matter is mostly of things in nature. He would rather paint the single leaf than the whole tree, or the stump instead of the whole forest. He said that he doesn’t paint those things at all, but rather something about those things. The estate sale features 10 of his original works, framed, from his personal collection
